Q: I’m new to fitness and would really like to try your program, but does that mean I have to train with a barbell?
A: First off, congrats on recognizing the importance of making fitness a priority in your life. In regards to your question, please understand that a barbell is just a tool. Our program is designed to deliver results, and the great news is that we have many different tools to get you those results!
If you don’t yet feel comfortable working with barbell exercises, than no sweat (pun intended). You can make great progress in your strength and fitness through the use of medicine balls, dumbbells, kettlebells, sandbags, and even bodyweight. Down the line, as your experience and your confidence grows, you might find yourself eager to tackle new challenges such as barbell training.
Q: I’m a distance runner and I am not really interested in strength training…how can your program help me?
A: Glad to hear you like to stay active! While the correlations between general strength and performance in endurance sports such as running are not always immediately obvious, there are actually many benefits to strength training.
In addition to working on running mechanics, strength training can also make you a more efficient runner. If every stride you take costs you less energy then you will ultimately be able to run longer and at a faster pace. You will also experience great improvements in your mobility, stability, and all-around movement through our program which will help you train safe and reduce the likelihood of injury.
Q: What’s the difference between your Semi-Private and Group Performance training programs?
A: Great question! Both our Semi-Private and Group Performance programs allow you to train in group settings with a customized program specific to your needs. Where the Semi-Private is designed to be groups of 2-4 to give each individual a little more personal attention, the Group Performance generally is larger with 6-12 people. Additionally, Semi-Private programs are about 55-60 minutes in length where as the Group Performance programs are a bit more involved and can take upwards of 90 minutes to complete.
